This blog documents progress on our house project from the beginning up until now. It is a team effort between me, my wife and my sons Paul and Jonathan. We are forever grateful for the help of Phil Burrow, Winston Deblanc (finish carpentry and painting) and Jaime Pierson (plumbing and HVAC). Our framer had been Scott Greve, our roofer Chris Carlton, grader is Trey Gorze, foundation work by Solid As a Rock, Inc., soil engineering work by GME Engineers, and our banker BB&T.

Time to Oil the Timbers
All 536 pieces of timbers had to be manually oiled by hand by my wife and I - with Land Ark oil which is proprietary combination of linseed, tung oil and citrus which both cleans and oils the timbers. All ends had to be brushed with beeswax.
