This blog documents progress on our house project from the beginning up until now. It is a team effort between me, my wife and my sons Paul and Jonathan. We are forever grateful for the help of Phil Burrow, Winston Deblanc (finish carpentry and painting) and Jaime Pierson (plumbing and HVAC). Our framer had been Scott Greve, our roofer Chris Carlton, grader is Trey Gorze, foundation work by Solid As a Rock, Inc., soil engineering work by GME Engineers, and our banker BB&T.

The Day of the Slab Pour
I hired Jimmy Robinson and his crew to do the slab pour. It took 36 cubic yards of concrete. They were expert finishers as well. I was very satisfied with the skill of the finishers. It was an all African American crew and they were very good.
